AFAIK this is only logged as error, due to the conversion between JDK logging
(JSF RI) and Log4J (JBoss 4).
Your problem is probably somewhere else...

This has nothing to do with J2EE 5.0. JBoss Seam is a framework for J2EE 5
implementations. The problem is beyond that, the container is apparently unable
to bind the EL resolver

That's asbolutely not true, if you use Facelets as presentation technology
(insteaf of JSP).
