My question was if there is any other solution.
As to my second post I wanted to share my experience, since that exception does

BTW. If I annotate countryCreator.init method as @Begin then I get :
java.lang.IllegalStateException: begin method invoked from a long-running
conversation, try using @Begin(join=true) on method: init
This does not give me the clue that I must supply pageflow name :
@Begin(pageflow="addCountry")
If I understood you correctly this thing can not be solved.
It is very inconvenient thing for slowing those especially nasty bugs that can
not be reproduced easily,
Would it make any difference if I post request on JIRA for JBPM.
Anyway thank you for your trouble.
Regards Kruno.

There are two possible causes, both are which are in the first stack trace you
post. Unfortunately Seam can't work out which one is correct, due to a
limitation in jBPM's EL integration. It's either a PropertyNotFoundException or
a MethodNotFoundException.

I had the 3rd party site redirect call a stateless method. In that method I
reattached the conversation from a variable included in the redirect request:
Manager.instance().restoreConversation()
After I reinstated the conversation, the Pageflow.instance() was null. Did I
do something wrong.
Keep hold of the conversation id, and you should be ok - just step back to the
correct view of the pageflow and with the correct cid parameter. Let us know if
this works - interesting problem :)

I believe this is a bug in the fix for
http://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBSEAM-624 . I'll re-open the issue and
we'll find a better fix.

Hello.
Thank you for the reply.
If I follow this way... how can I get the taskId for resumeTask method?
I have tried with:
|
|
|
|
and
| @Stateless
| @Name("avanzarEstadoPeticion")
| public class AvanzarEstadoPeticionImpl implements AvanzarEstadoPeticion {
| @In
You'll have to use the API.
BusinessProcess.instance().resumeTask(taskId); //associate task with current
conversation
| BusinessProcess.instance().startTask(); //call Task.start(actor.id)

I did read the manual several times but managed to miss the two sentences below.
Wouldnt it be a good idea to put in an error message explaining what went wrong
instead of throwing a ClassCastException. I thought it was a class loading
issue! (of which I have found several with jboss). I imagine
But jBPM (actually the Seam jBPM integration) delegates to JSF to evaluate the
expression. And documentRegister.type has the perfectly legitimate value "null"
in JSF-EL. So all we can do is report that the expression evaluated to null.

Thanks once again - my mistake
I do think though that the message
Caused by: org.jbpm.JbpmException: decision expression
'#{documentRegister.type}' returned null
at org.jbpm.graph.node.Decision.execute(Decision.java:110)
is misleading, it would be better to say
"documentRegister" not found in
It is called documentRegisterEntry not documentRegister, fix your EL expression.

Great, That fixed it. Thanks Gavin
I had copied the newuser.jpdl.xml file from the dvd example
which has start-state
instead of start-page
In fact all the jpdl examples from the cvs have start-state, confusing!
Wouldnt there be a way to validate the schema or dtd to catch the problem
earlier an
Perhaps you need to use instead of in your process
definition.
