I would love to see a chapter or even a section dedicated to design patterns in
the upcoming Seam Book. Discussing new patterns specific to Seam and why some
of the current J2EE patterns are obsolete is definitely a plus.

Most of the traditional Java EE patterns are now obsolete. They were usually
workarounds for limitations in the J2EE architecture. Well, this may be
overstating a bit, for example, some people still like to use DAOs in EE 5,
though to me it seems overkill.
