I don't know what it would take, but if you need any changes to seam-pdf to
make it easier, I'd be more than happy to consider them.

I am not an expert on portlets but IMHO this doesn't make sense. How can a
portlet ouput PDFs?

true. i want to use a link and direct the target to blank, so that the pdf
opens in a new tab/window.
this is what i have working by putting the pdf xhtml files in a separate war,
which may be the best solution.
