Yes, 2.x will always be Eclipse 3.2.x based.
3.x is what will work for Ganymede.
If someone want it differently come and contribute by maintaining the different
branches and builds needed for making this happen.

thats good that we its localised - do we have to wait or a v3 build to pick up
a comptaible version - or would there be a 2.1.x release patch /build that
would enable the 2.1.x line to operate within ganymede.
any views from the team on how you expect to handle the incompatbility.

I doubt there will be 2.1.x version compatible with Ganymede. Palette problem
is just easy catch:) There are lot more issues were fixed during migration to
