I had the same problem. Configure in the web.xml the following listener

| Starts the job executor on servlet context initialization and
stops it on
| servlet context destruction.

the plain jobexecutor is satarted via a servletlisteber/filter. read the docs
and/or search the forum

I searched a lot of time, but I couldn't find anything about JobExecutor
configuration. So you say that there's no way to configure it in jbpm.cfg.xml
to start automaticly when jboss starts.
