Did you wait a REALLY long time? In that old version, Hypersonic takes a
long time to initialize, but it finally did (for me, anyway.) Give it two
minutes and see if it continues. Also switch to a new version (2.4.5).
Quite a bit has changed.

Hi all,
i have openldap running on my RedHat 7.2 linux box and i'm
trying to get jboss to bind the ldap tree to the JNDI tree.
I've read the documentation found at this link
http://www.jboss.org/online-manual/HTML/ch13s126.html
and i've tried applying the method to 3.0RC2.

I have two ears that represent different versions of an application. They
use the same class names and project hierarchy, and without the scoped
classloading, JBoss sees confuses which class goes with which deployment
descriptor.

Hi,
I´m trying to get an example working which creates a sequence of primary
keys for use by the entity beans. Unfortunately I just cannot get it to
work! I don´t seem to be able to get past the error displayed below. Is
this an error that might ring a bell to someone or do I have to dig deepe
I meant the reason that you need to use the scoped classloading.

First of all, I had to decompile your class since you didn't send the
source.

My problem is that it doesn't seem to work... I'm putting together a test
case that exhibits the behavior I am seeing so the developers can take a
look at it.

Hello,
I also would like an answer to this. I don't mind supporting JBoss'
documentation efforts via a subscription but I want documentation on
3.0, not 2.4. Is there *accurate* information on JBoss 3.0 in the
subscription?
Thanks,

What kind of problem do you have then?
I don't understand the release-note fully.
Should META-INF/jboss-app.xml be placed inside the ear? Why do you need
to include the name of the ear in the xml then?
What is a valid JMX Objectname? Are users supposed to know the
JMX-standard?

As I understand it, yes, the scoped classloading for EAR respositories is
what you need.
Read the RC3 release notes on SourceForge for an explanation of how it
should work.

Okay. I will break it down into the simplest component, probably two EARs
with one CMP entity.
Thanks for your help with this.

I beleve I could have a need for this functionality.
I get this error:
Caused by: org.jboss.deployment.DeploymentException: Bean Person has PK
of type no.polardesign.boostcom.medlemsregister.PersonPK, so it should
have a cmp-field named personID
I have 2 versions of the Person-bean with the sa
No, create two ears that demonstrate the problem when deployed
against a standard JBoss distribution.

Sorry, I should have phrased my question differently.
Do you mean I need to write a Junit test? I have never done anything like
that... I poked around on the developer site and didn't find a HOWTO or any
kind of instructions.
Is there any other place I should be looking for that info?

Hi,
It's the first time I'm writiçng to this mailing list.
I've installed the JBoss 3.0 RC1 + Tomcat 4.0.3
package
and I have at this moment one question:
Where can I find documentation about writing a SAR
from A to Z? (descriptor files, interfaces to
use...)
Thanks in advance,

Howdy.
I bought the JBoss book (2.4.x) and the JBoss CMP/CMR docs from the
Flashline store. The CMP docs that I have are in HTML format and from
December/2001.
I see that there is a package called 'JBoss 6-month documentation
subscription' now, that includes the CMP/CMR documentation in PDF f
