There is not a whole lotta difference in the structure of the EAR one or
two additional classes being referenced and in it.
Ive tried against 3.0.1RC1 but it didnt work.
Another funny thing is that if I merge the EJBs into one jar and add the
supporting jars to the working ear it still does
There are some problems with manifest references being loaded in 3.0.0.
What is the difference between the ear the works and this one? The latest
manifest loading fixes are available in the 3.0 branch so you can try that
or the 3.0.1 release due out Monday.

make Jetspeed run on the integrated JBoss-Tomcat package so could you
post the changes you made to the list.
