Sorry to glom onto someone else's thread, but I have a related question.
After setting up your own category, as below, everything works nicely
for my ejbs but Servlets under Jetty don't seem to see the elevated
priority level when I jack my "com.xxx." priority up to DEBUG. All

The first block part of the block above comments out the
default logging facility. The latter part of the block
above enables the log4j facility.
I put my "log4j.pro

Its a great facility.
I have a question about some observed behavior.
Using a fresh CVS checkout and build from this morning...
When I disable ConsoleLogger and FileLogger in jboss.conf
(by commenting them out) and enable the log4j mbean, I get
duplicate output on
omeProxy.java:23
