I downloaded portal 2.2.1-sp3 binary and deployed it to Jboss 4.0.3sp1 in the
default server. It is a fresh Jboss. I am getting the following errors. Can
someone please help. I went through the jboss-service.xml files and it appears

1. Regarding the jsp hot deploy. Would it work if I wrote a program that could
look at all jsps and if they have been modified deploy them and make the

automatically package and maybe even redeploy my project? The redeploy isn't a

I have jboss 4.0.1 and have followed the instructions on the wiki for setting
up jbossportal with postgres. I got the setup.ddl and got all the database
stucture into postgres. WHen I start jboss hibernate fails and when I try to
goto localhost:8080/portal i get the following stacktrace. As
here is the error on hibernate. This is a clean jboss install11:02:55,999 WARN
[ServiceController] Problem starting service portal:service=Hibernate

I am runnning jboss 3.2.6 which supports multiple vhosts in teh jboss-web.xml
file. It works fine but When Jboss starts I get alot of errors basically
telling me that can not create Servlet JSR-77 see an example error below.
How can I fix these erorr so they dont show up? I want to keep the

ie 6 and firefox. I aphic layoucan look at them of cource in word pad. i
remember jboss use to have the whole graphical layout of these. I think they
were svgs though. i cannot remember. What should I be looking at the dtd in?

ok I got it working. Something with the way it untarred. Weird. But while building I

I had made some posts yesterday because I was having troubles. I did some god helkp
but I am unsure what is going on. I was told to make sure I create a default/nukes
directory which I did. I was also told to delete tmp which I did . Below is the
complete log with my start of jboss and the
ok I have a new jboss 3.2.3 installed. Built nukes 1.0 and same error see log below.
I will also paste what I did to build it below. You will notice that when I try to
build deploy-components it fails.

One final problem. I had to tell the installer not to insert any data because
postgres generated 3 errors related to booloon fields. I am now getting The file id
is not indicated Can I fix this?

the errors are
* ERROR: column prune_enable is of type boolean but expression is of type integer
* ERROR: column pn_uorder is of type boolean but expression is of type integer
It looks like the ddl script is trying to insert a 0 into those fields where the
default is set to false.
I am looking to use this in production. I have tried 2 different snapshots but they
seem to have trouble building.

ok that worked. Thank you but I ran into 2 more problems
1. It appears that the initial data tries to insert a 0 into a booleon which which is
set to default to false. I solved this by not inserting initial data.
Real problem!!!
2. I went to the nukes directory and ran build deploy and
i sthat the jdbc driver on mysql's website??

OK this is wierd. When I change my login to FORM authentication instead of BASIC The
page doesn't display the username with the code below but if I don't cloas ethe
browser and I go back and access my servlet again it shows my username.
