We have been using jboss 2.2.1 for about half a year, and I think this a
great product. Recently we upgraded to jboss 2.4.1, without any problems
whatsoever. However, it appears to me that jboss 2.2.1 and jboss 2.4.1
behave very differently in dealing with the pooling of stateless session
How should I configure jboss to be able to run multiple jboss instances on a
single machine?

Jboss allows different configurations by different subdirectories in
jboss/conf/ which is very convenient for me. However, all these
configuraties use the same embeddedtomcat configuration. Is there a way to
tell embeddedtomcat to use a different dir with config-files?

seems to work fine. When I look at processes using the GNOME System monitor,
however, I observe almost 60 different java processes, using almost 1.5
