I just downloaded AS 4.0.2 and tried to run the portal 2.0 beta 1. I configured
it as per the install instructions. I download the portal source and built it
for hypersonic db and setup the database using the correct ddl and sql script.

Just a quick note I encountered this problem using the oracle 9.2 drivers so I
tried the Oracle 10g drivers and it worked fine.
I tested it with 1mb message. If you belive oracle the 10g driver is backwardly
compatible with 9.2.x and 8.1. We are using 9.2.x
