I am getting the exact same problem. The url-pattern in use was <url-pattern>/*.do</url-pattern> changing this to <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern> resolved the problem. As far I can see, the former version should fine and it worked in 3.2.3 and continues to work in other app servers. Is this a bug in Tomcat 5?
