I don't understand why Jboss 3.2.8 keeps getting delayed.
I remember it was due May 15th at some point, and none of the issues that were
back then have been worked on since then, in fact, the outstanding issues are
almost the same as back then.
Why is noone working on the 3.2.8 version? And whe
Yes we do. We run on 3.1 with a Sun JVM (the sun dist packaged as .deb with
j2sepackage). No apparent problems.

So people not using the installer should do what?
I'm personally trying to deploy on a oldfashioned textconsole-capable linux
server, so the JBoss installer is not for me and I'd like to play with the
EJB3Trail application but I can't.

Now 4.0.2 is out. When can we expect the PDF version of the admin guide on

I should also state the JBoss version used is 3.2.7.

I have a strange problem with the CMP. I can't figure out what is wrong but I
have isolated the problem down to this:
An object (Struts action) invokes a method on one of my stateless session
beans. The method invoked has translation attribute "required".
Besides a lot of read-only operations t
After upgrading to JBoss 3.2.6 from 3.2.3, my SizeEJB (CMP) is deployed under
table name "xsize" instead of "size". Since I already have my "size" table, I
wanted to force the CMP engine to use that, so I added the following to my
jbosscmp-jdbc.xml:
| Size
| false
I've read through the "Getting Started 4.0" guide and have a lot of corrections. It
would be easiest for me if I could just post a patch for the sources, but are these
available?
If not, what else do I do?

that obviosly doesn't resolve the issue since I get it.

Strangely enough, it seems to run fine on WinXP with the same JDK version.

Which JMS specification version does JBoss support? 1.0.2b or 1.1? Where can I find
such version compatibility info for other JBoss components ?

Problem solved. Our production server is restarted through cron who doesn't set the
LANG environment variable. Therefore file.encoding=ANSI_X3.4-1968. Our test servers
are (re)started as the root user where LANG=en_US.iso8859-1. Solution was to set the
LANG variable in the /etc/crontab script.
I have two RedHat 8.0 servers, both should have almost the same system configuration,
including J2SDK 1.4.2_04. But when I start my JBoss 3.2.3 server in it, I have
file.encoding=ISO-8859-1 on one of them and file.encoding=ANSI_X3.4-1968 on the other.
I can't figure why but I need ISO-8859-1 on

How often are these docs updated? Does anyone have the date for which this book was
last updated?
Should I buy annual subscription to docs to get updates for thes docs?

I've created a J2EE application and it ran perfectly (with a few deadlocks now and
then) in JBoss 3.0.8. After upgrading to JBoss 3.2.3, the server runs perfectly for
some time, maybe a day, then suddenly everything locks up and timeouts starts to
occur, always starting with this exception stack
