thanks for that! I copy'ed the ear file from the build dir by hand into the
server/default/deploy dir and it deploys.
I can then log into tomcat and run the example.
therefore there is something weird in my config round the seam build which i
need to resolve.
cant see anything obvi
get lots of 'error like messages' in the server log.
cant attach the complete file - however there are lines like the following
(this is from a fresh startup)
I went to seam dir again and did an ant clean and ant deploy on the
registration example and no text got appended to the log. Ant re
not sure I know how to tell?
I restarted the AS and got some funny errors about the transaction manager -
however i cant see a deploy activity taking place properly.
is the best thing to uninstall the AS and reinstall again?

cant access the demo seam apps in jboss.
I downloaded jboss AS 404RC1 and installed it using jdk 5(r6)
installed jboss AS with ejb3 option.
downloaded and installed seam and checked the build.properties.
ran ant on the registration example and it says
