I'm pretty sure this is a RC7 vs RC8 thing...
here's the error i get from jboss
Caused by: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError:
javax.interceptor.InvocationContext.getTarget()Ljava/lang/Object;
| at
org.jboss.seam.ejb.SeamInterceptor.aroundInvoke(SeamInterceptor.java:37)
| at
Yes this looks like a CR7 vs CR8 error
Make sure to use the JEMS installer:

Using Tomcat but need to do more?
The version of Seam in CVS now is compatible with JBoss 4.0.4. I assume we'll
have an updated build soon, but you can get by until then with just a little
extra effort.

Are you _sure_ you have installed the ejb3 profile? That error usually means
you have not.

I installed ejb3 but I did not install CR2 but the GA Version of JBoss 4.0.4
and the Seam examples don't run out of the box on that version (yet).
Anyway, thanks Gavin for your help! I hope Seam takes off as hibernate did!!
Good Work!

Using Tomcat but need to do more?
Sorry, i just realised, is this more a question directed towards jsf/tags
rather than seam ?
Does the user object/var mean the same in terms of managed jsf object hence
using jsf control logic as seam is a bind framework between jsf and ejb3 etc ?
TIA
k
