Just for the record... A while back I had the problem of not being able to load classes from xyz.war/WEB-INF/lib that were referenced only from within a custom tag. At the time I had solved the problem by putting both the classes and the .war separately in a .sar; it now seems that the problem was that I had configured Jetty not to unpack .war files into a temporary directory, as it does by default.
