I just checked and it should work with 3.0.2.
Are you using JBossQL or EJB-QL. This is only supported by the JBoss
proprietary extension to EJB-QL as EJB-QL does not support the LCASE
functions and does not support LIKE clauses with functions on either side.
If you are using JBossQl in 3.0.2
This works for shure!
WHERE SUBSTRING(LCASE(Customer.name1), 1, LENGTH(?1)) = LCASE(?1)
