Release notes for 1.4.1 says something about an bug when using an old
version of glibc, which can be found in RH 7.2. Check the notes for more
details.

I dont know why you run into these problems. But I have been using JBoss3
on my RH 7.2 machine at home and RH 7.3 machine here at work.
I use Sun JDK 1.3.1 on both machines. Are you by any chance using an older
version of the JDK?
