[JBoss-user] ejb-ref's needed?

If I put the ejb-ref tag in, I get errors when the war loads upon initialization of JBoss. If I leave it out, it loads successfully. But still doesn't work once I browse the servlet. I get 'ejb not bound' errors. It's been suggested to me both ways and I just wanted to get a more concrete
