Hello,

I am puzzled by "when" to use resource-ref in ejb-jar.xml and jboss.xml. I
have seen resource-ref for a jdbc datasource declared in sesson beans and
entity beans but sometimes it is left out. If a session bean does not look
up a jdbc resource at all, why would someone include the resource-ref inside
the session bean in the deployemnt descriptors? For entity beans, do we
have to declare a resource-ref at all? Isn't the declaration in
jbosscml-jdbc.xml sufficient?

Thanks in advance,
Fee
