convert existing .java file?

I have set up my (defun my-jde-mode-hook ()
the way I like it. Now when I load an existing .java file I notice
that the jde options only apply to new code that I add to that file
using emacs. 

How can I re-format the entire file so that the hook options can be
applied to the entire file?
