Not quite. HTTP requests can get out of firewalls, but not into them. S

I want to determine the maximum number of connections my client can make

You're going to have to talk to pgmillard then, based on what you're saying
I can't see a server error here. I would love to find the cause though.

One other suggestion on top of all the other comments, getting on jabber and
talking in the jdev group or messaging developers directly is welcome. Jdev
is very very active. Anyway, when were your old message? I don't see any in
my inbox since I moved to IMAP.

Two things:
1. jabber:* namespaces are reserved for officially supported namespaces. JSM
actually is supposed to block any jabber:* namespaces which it does not understand
as of 1.4.
2. you will need to write a JSM component in order to transfer your iq request to
an xdb request, specifically if

We have developped our version of xdb module that fits our particular needs.
We have our own jabber client also (OK, we are going to have ;+).

The 'oob' namespace seems to be Jabber's current answer for direct peer-to-peer communications, particularly file transfer. However, the documentation I've see
NOTE: also, if you are having binding problems, I've just submitted a patch to mio.c,
(it's currently in jabber.org CVS) that will allow you to also bind *outgoing*
connections
to a certain IP.
to do this, you simply need to add a 12.34.56.78 tag to your config

Please add the folowing to the FAQ, as you see

You must add in specific bindings to the IP address
rather than binding to Null.
Edit the Tag in

The first faim block was worked around by changing some magic numbers in
