Exodus tells me:

So we do get a stream:error... (and the presence changes to offline
Yea thats ok, so long as the current method is the standard and default
option and that the second reverse option should only be used if your
sepecific application requires it, it should not be used in ordinary client
environments tho IMO especially ones with novice users, also the problems in

Pardon me if this is a FAQ, I'm new to this list.
I'm curious if there are any BSD-like licensed (i.e. suitable for
closed-source commercial applications) jabber client libraries out there
in C or C++?
Hi!
We have a C library

I still think this is questionable behaviour because there isn't
really an error as such in the stream. I think there's been some

Let me first say a few words before I disagree (-: I'm not saying you
are wrong or right. Both you and Wes have valid and demonstrable
points, and each is more correct in some circumstances than in others.
With that said, I disagree that there should be a standard and default

Hello,
Can anyone tell me whether the executables for the different jabber clients
are supposed to be open source? Specifically, I am looking for the code to
Rhymbox.exe. I thought all Jabber Software was for share...
Thanks,

Attention client developers!
I've created a simple PHP script that outputs a list of the public servers
that have registered with the Jabber Software Foundation and that allow
open registration of new users. The list is in disco (JEP-0030) format and
enables you to present a dynamic server list
Woohoo, thanks Peter. This has been a much awaited feature

Correction! Thanks to some Apache rewrite magic, the permanent URL is:
http://www.jabber.org/servers.xml
That way we're not tied to PHP forever. :)

Thanks, this helps a bit.
