it seems to work. http://www.xmppworld.com/backend_news.php and use at
your own peril.

or you could run exodus under wine. works really nicely and not a single
byte would need to be harmed in the process

I know of at least two that existed prior to 1990 that ran on a CDC
Cyber at RUB (Rhur Universitat, Bochum) and iirc mehlbox and others on
systems at Kometh also had such features. now they were in Europe so
they might not count officially but I did install mehlbox and the Bochum
chat/email on sev
ok I need to finish it later today but the first piece of original
content has been placed on www.jabberworld.com a bit about how to run
exodus under wine.

first of all goto jabberstudio.org
(http://www.jabberstudio.org/project/?cat=2) and take a look at jso
and/or jabbe
as one final addition to the list of possible er bugs if i create a MUC,
revoke my privs leave and rejoin i get a 404, the leaving message from
the MUC and can't configure the room.
these are all variations of the same thing and IRL they probably
shouldn't happen but..

oh i forgot to state everything else in the config is left as the
default setting so new users are visitors.

been able to do anything to kill them.
