might be better off handling this outside the server code. My reasoning is that
since the source of information is created by some other process, it
is not feasible to duplicate the information inside the jabber server. This
would give birth to a need for synchronizing

How's the idea of interacting jabber with workflow managment systems? Let's
say that we have a workflow server which is responsible for
recording/forwarding/keeping different jobs and job states. We surely have a
bunch of users who perform actions on different jobs and move'em around.

Although it would be beneficial, IMHO it can't really solve the problem of
farming one instant messenger domain. Since when one server goes dowmn the
users registered on that server will be left in the dark! Please correct me
if I'm missing something
