Hi all,

I've been experimenting with an alternative to Reddit and have created a
Lemmy instance to act as an XMPP community space:

https://community.xmpp.net/

If you're not familiar with Reddit, it's effectively forums and link
sharing rolled into one. Each project can have its own forum where
members can ask questions, post replies, get updates from the project
leadership, etc. However, unlike Reddit, Lemmy is federated and there
are lots of other great instances out there that you can follow
communities and users of!

I hope you'll consider joining us and setting up a community for your
project, or just joining as an individual to follow updates from your
favorite projects and chat in the various communities! I'm looking
forward to seeing where this experiment goes! If you do join as a
project or individual, feel free to say hi and introduce yourself in the
default community!

https://community.xmpp.net/c/main

Or check out a list of communities to join:

https://community.xmpp.net/communities

See you on the fediverse!
