Attendees: Craig Russell, Michael Bouschen, Martin Zaun, Michelle Caisse
1. The last issues - JDO-327, JDO-364 (Craig, Michael, Erik)
Michael checked in patch for 364 to branch and trunk. Erik is now
investigating remaining JPOX issue (327).
2. Web site tasks (Michelle, Craig)
AI all: Please provide feedback on filter links in a comment to
JDO-363. Are the search criteria for these filters what we want to
display on the web as issues resolved or open in the named releases?
Links to the filters could go on the Downloads page or the JIRA page
linked to from the navbar of the JDO web site.
3. Steps to final release (Craig)
AI Craig: Determine which deliverables for JDO 2 will be available from
the JCP. The Apache site will have links to download the project
deliverables and to the JCP spec download page.
Craig will repackage the TCK today or tomorrow. Once JPOX passes, we
will test, then call for a vote, then the packages will be published to
the Apache site and mirrors and we will add a downloads page to the JDO web.
AI Michelle: Clarify text on downloads page so that people know what all
the packages are.
AI Michelle: Send draft vote message for review to jdo-dev explaining
the packages (tck, enhancer, core)
4. Other issues (any and all)
Michael will apply to Erik's qestion about 1 to 1 bidirectional
relationships.
[April 7 2006] AI Michelle: File a JIRA for making a web page with
instructions on creating a release.
[April 7 2006] AI Martin: File a JIRA on documenting JDK 1.5/1.6 issues
regarding the enhancer.
Action Items from weeks past:
[Mar 31 2006] AI Michael: make sure that all JIRA issues have a
"resolved in release" entry. Might have to reopen some JIRA issues just
to add this info. AI Michelle: add links in the web page to point to
JIRA "open issues for xxx release" and "resolved issues for xxx
release". [In progress as JDO-363]
[Mar 24 2006] Craig has instructions on creating a release, and will
add a wiki page with the instructions in case anyone else has an itch
to make a release. In progress.
[Mar 17 2006] Remaining issue: datastore identity strategy is
currently defined as IDENTITY but some datastores don't support
IDENTITY columns. AI CraIg: propose a solution. Done.
[Nov 4 2005] AI Martin: Update Martin's wiki with discusion of JDK 1.5
issues. In progress
[Sep 2 2005] AI: To recruit members, update the web site. Articles on
TheServerSide directing attention to the site. T-shirts, logo. AI:
Craig write a ServerSide article.
