Jenkins triggering the build even when there is no changes in git

we use git polling for triggering the builds. This morning we observed that even though there is not changes in git repository still Jenkins kick of the run saying 1 change observed. We use the jenkins version : Jenkins ver. 1.509.2 git plugin version is : 1.5.0
