Rc looks good and we are ready for the release as long as I am concerned.
The selenium tests are broken[1] since mid-december. Meanwhile I run those
tests locally before rc.

Actually I notice the last run was failing all the tests with a vncserver
error "You will require a password to access your desktops..getpassword
error: Inappropriate ioctl for device"
I'm guessing that's an infrastructure issue. Who can look into fixing these
kinds of issues?
Richard.
On Wed,
I don't know the Jenkins Selenium tests, but I've seen other web products
where a Selenium test failure was an indication of a problem in the test,
not in the product being tested. Releasing with a failing Selenium test in
those cases was usually the precursor to repairing or removing the failing
I'm afraid your questions are broad enough that they can't reasonably be
answered by documentation.
There are Jenkins servers which run hundreds of slave agents and hundreds
of jobs concurrently. A google search for "scaling Jenkins" returned the
following presentations which you could review as
Is it normal for the selenium-tests to fail? Would seem a bit strange to
release a new version when the tests are failing?

Hi,
I have read few responses on the web before posting this question. I am
trying to find the 'pristine' documentation that could answer the following
2 questions:
1. What is the maximum number of jobs/builds that can be configured in
jenkins before some performance threshold is reached?
2. W
I posted a few items of areas where I had performed an hour or two of
interactive testing looking for surprises in areas that are important to
me. I didn't find any surprises worthy of a bug report.
https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/LTS+1.532.x+RC+Testing has been
updated with the areas
Any updates on when the .2 final should be published?

Hi,
global.jelly applies to global Jenkins configuration (system-wide
configuration).
I'm not sure to understand whether you need common configuration
project-wide or if it is system-wide.
If system-wide, from other build steps/notifiers, look up the descriptor
for the buildstep that holds the c
Hi
I'm writing a plugin that consists of 2 or 3 build steps / notifiers.
These build steps have some general configuration in common.
How can I reuse / access that configuration? I added the global.jelly file
in one of the buid step classes but I don't think I can access it from the
other build st
Hi Andreas,
you access right should be fixed now.
