Description:

If user is in group with dot in name (for example, test.group) than this group permissions is not honored.
How to test (I tested with pam_auth and LDAP Plugin):
1. Create user (without any permissions in jenkins). For example: testuser
2. Create group (for example, test.group) and add user testuser to this group
3. Give any permissions (I tested with all permissions) to test.group
4. Try to login in jenkins as testuser and check permissions. User should has all permissions but he hasn't any.
5. Check that testuser in test.group (http://your.jenkins.url/whoAmI/?)
P.S. Sorry for my English
