Decision to use Jenkins

Hi All, I am new to Jenkins... My company is currently in the process to starting Continuous Integration project. we are currently evaluating Jenkins and other CI tools in the market. Can anyone help help to answer my below queries 1)Is Jenkins opensource? or can we purchase jenkins license?
