Hi Frank,
"maven pam.deploy" should unpack the HW_App war to your tomcat installation's webapps
directory. Are you certain the pam.deploy goal completed normally?

What you described made me think of what I read in GETTING_STARTED.html.
It says,

I checked through the server.xml, but that property is *not* set!

build.properties and then the build scripts assume that shared/lib/ and
webapps/ are relative to that?
