In my experience your problem won't be shown if you
use the latest Jetspeed from CVS. Because the current
binary is not work well.. esp. the customization.

To Paul,
I still think it is a kludge becoz the rendered JSP is kinda of "headless".
How would I do my page forwards and lookups and session tracking? Alot of
the JSP functionality would disappear but I suppose this is having Turbine

Do I need to have Turbine installed to do a jetspeed install from cvs? It
seems that all of my errors("cannot resolve symbol") relate to turbine. The

The existing JkMount statements in mod_jk.conf-auto don't cover
/jetspeed/portal, which is where the login form posts. I'm not sure how to
do this the 'right way', but i just added the following line to my
mod_jk.conf-auto and restarting apache works:
JkMount /jetspeed/* ajp12

I have apache configured with mod_jk, tomcat and apache are both up and running.
when I hit http://myserver/jetspeed/index.jsp, I get the jetspeed page. However, when
I try to login, apache can't seem to find
the login page.
Any ideas?
Sumit,
The version is displayed on the bottom left of the Jetspeed homepage.
The link you mentioned should be current.
How did you install it?
Did you:
1) shutdown tomcat
2) save all customized files
3) delete the webapps/jetspeed directory tree
4) place jetspeed.war in the webapps
Sumit,
To make life simpler, shutdown jetspeed before editing the PSML file.
Is their a reason you are manually editing the PSML file and not using
the customizer?

i am still stuck up with the layout problem.

Sumit,
Are you seeing this problem for all users?
Using the 1.3a2 customizer, I click the pencil of the pane I want to
edit. Their I can change the layout.
The PSML you included will display the portlets in 2 columns.

Dear Lionel,
I think your question is smiliar with my question,
isn't it??? The skin is in portlet controller level
not in page level. but several of the software today
is support application level skining, such as
netscape, etc.
I am finding out how to make skin becomes a global
variable.

Dear Paul,
Yah, that's I know today,
But I have a idea like this.
Skining is popular, you can see netscape browser,
Media player, if you change the skin, they change all
of it including the toolbar, etc. I successfully
implement skin using my own template, which include
