Wanted to post back with an alternative solution that the removal of the
castor jars. After making some changes to try and include an additional
portlets.xreg file, I found myself back in the "jetspeed hangs" mode - where
a series of
[DaemonThread:feeddaemon] DEBUG CastorRegistryService - R
After it was all working, I have now had problems
after shutting down and trying to restart jetspeed. I
have traced the hanging to the CastorRegistryService
and the problem is the late init() method is waiting
for the early init(ServletConf) to finish. This fills
the jetspeedservices.log with:
