I've setup my jetspeed to use oracle for the psml. In
addition we have a
portlet that reads/writes from/to the same db. After making a new post
to the db, I always get a null pointer exception (connection object is
null) when I change the active pane

users, and what else?
Do there HorribleExceptions also occur when using the hypersonic database?
And when should be considered to change the hypersonic database for a more

i am getting the same error, erratically but once every 2 weeks. Re-starting tomcat
reolves the problem. I have not been able to
identify the reason for this error, and there seems to be no error messages logged.

restarting tomcat. This indicates (to me, anyway) that something in
jetspeed is grabbing but not releasing db connections.

Which driver are you using for the database? Only certain drivers are
supported in Jetspeed (Torque).
