Hi Stewart,
Check that you may have set a Master Interface for some of the hosts.
Set that to none and the "Polling Failed" events will go away.

Again, the problem seems to be a bad community.
the Polling failed messages are only activated when you defined a
Designated Master Interface in the host, and that interface is down at
the moment.
