Sound likes "rrdtool" isn't the same on the two servers or something else
is different.
Do you use the same distribution on both ?
Did you just copy the binary from one server to the other or made it from
scratch (from sources or perhaps from some sort of package (.deb, .rpm, etc.) ?

I was having issues with traffic graphing of SNMP discovered interfaces
and found I needed to downgrade to an earlier version of rrdtool to get
graphing to work properly. I have two JFFNMS 0.8.2 servers doing
monitoring. I did the downgrade of rrdtool on one server and it worked
like a charm af
