Fabrice Bacchella created KAFKA-6333: ----------------------------------------
Summary: java.awt.headless should not be on commandline Key: KAFKA-6333 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KAFKA-6333 Project: Kafka Issue Type: Bug Components: core Affects Versions: 1.0.0 Reporter: Fabrice Bacchella Priority: Trivial The option -Djava.awt.headless=true is defined in KAFKA_JVM_PERFORMANCE_OPTS. But it should even not be present on command line. It's only useful for application that can be used in application that is used in both a headless and a traditional environment. Kafka is a server, so it should be setup in the main class. This help reduce clutter in command line. See http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/articles/javase/headless-136834.html for more details. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.4.14#64029)
