HTTP URL Re-writing Modifier didn't work for the first run of the Test Plan

Summary: HTTP URL Re-writing Modifier didn't work for the first
                    run of the Test Plan
           Product: JMeter
           Version: 1.9.RC2
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows NT/2K
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: Main
        AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I'am using the HTTP URL Re-writing Modifier with my Testplan.
If I start the Testplan the first time, the run stop's instantly.
I have found following entries in the log-File

07/17/2003 10:23:04 AM ERROR - jmeter.engine: java.lang.NullPointerException
        at
org.apache.jmeter.protocol.http.modifier.URLRewritingModifier.process(URLRewritingModifier.java:45)
        at
org.apache.jmeter.threads.TestCompiler.runPreProcessors(TestCompiler.java:132)
        at
org.apache.jmeter.threads.TestCompiler.configureSampler(TestCompiler.java:119)
        at org.apache.jmeter.threads.JMeterThread.run(JMeterThread.java:261)
        at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:536)

This message appears for each Http-Request.

If I deactivate the Re-writing Modifier and start the Test Plan - < it works.
But not for me because i need the Modifier.
If i now activate the Modifiert again, ana launch the Test Plan everything works
fine.
If I restart Jmeter the same thing happens again.
This Bug appears with different Testplans.
The Bug didn't appear in Version 1.8
