Everything goes right in my browser.
I have another scenario (thread) in JMeter which does
only one request on 13.202.220.44:2828/askonce.jsp
e.g. the home page of the application.
When I run this thread even with 500 users, it is okay,
no connection timed out to be noticed.

Folks,
Has anyone used JMeter to generate loads of on the order of 100 thread
groups via one JMeter instance? (I am using the 02-10-07 build.)
I have a tomcat 4.0.4 application that seems to behaving oddly under heavy
loads. Sending back various java errors like:

I think you are confusing the User Parameter config element and the HTTP User
Parameter
Modifier. The former is only available in the latest nightlies. To use the Modifier
(which uses
the users.xml file), your HTTP Request needs to use the same parameter name as in the
file.

Hi,
I'm Mike Hartley. I am currently looking at jmeter for some performance
testing of a web application.
I am attempting to use the HTTP User Modifier Parameter with release 1.7.3
to create usernames and passwords to login to a login page. However, I
cannot get the subsitiution to function.

Yes, this is a bug, and you've got the right reason. I suspect this kind of thing is
happening elsewhere, making non-gui runs not work right.
I've made a fix, but differently from the way you did it. Instead, I just have the
component do lazy initialization of the regex patterns when modify

Using telnet to test an HTTP port is kind of weird. What happens when you request
13.202.220.44:2828/askonce.jsp in your browser?

All,
Let me introduce myself first,
I work in Grenoble (france) on the askOnce product.
I'm in charge of the tests and validation.
I'm trying to use JMeter for stress/load tests but I encounter some issues.
I'm using Jmeter 1.7.3 client-server option (remote te
Hi all,
I have written a test using the nightly build from 9/10/02. I use the HTTP
URL Re-writing Modifier in the test twice here is my tree.
- Test Plan
- Thread Group
- loop Controller
- login
- Http req 1
Why not use http proxy server in JMeter? Even though sniffer has more
powerful tools, the proxy server in JMeter is enough for the task in
discussion.

While i am sending HTTP requests to a server through JMETER then the server accepts
four time more requests. WHY?
I used 5 thread with 5 loop count in a thread group and ramp up period was 60 sec. I
also added a gaussian random timer. So the total request accepted should be 25. But
the server
