Hi,
I am running JMeter to simulate 180 concurrent users. I have 5 machines,
each running approx 40 threads in the thread group.
Everything seems to be running fine for a while...and then I am seeing
problems with tomcat sessions - items that are put in the session at the
top of the plan don't
I've heard that it's best to use a maximum of 20 threads per thread group.
Is this correct? Is it just for memory usage? Does that mean 20 threads
per plan, or is it okay to have multiple thread groups, each with 20
threads (but running concurrently).
To simulate 180 users, how many machines w
Hi,
I am trying to simulate 180 users hitting a web site randomly, but know
that the throughput should be the web site submitting 1 job every 2 seconds
to the backend.
Any ideas how to combine random rate and yet still control the throughput?
Many thanks,
David
Surely someone can remove this guy from the list? I can't be getting this
mail from him until 19/01/2004!!!
Cheers,
David

sure. I'd like to have a controller that encapsulates a bunch of jdbc
calls underneath it eg "submit job"
I'd then like to measure the throughput of how often the controller get's
executed - at the moment I get the throughput of all the jdbc calls that
are exectuted, right? I'd like to know "ho
Sorry again - didn't read the docs properly! It's cool that it handles all
this!!

Hi,
Is it possible to include an HTML page submit that uploads a form as part
of one of my tests?
Cheers,

Sorry - my bad. Figured out that it is all done per thread, so that was
what was confusing me!
Would still like to have a constant throughput for the number of times a
controller is executed, though. Is there a way to do this without having
to count everything within that controller?
Cheers,
D
Hi,
I'm trying to get a constant throughput in a test plan that includes a
loop.
I tried the Constant Throughput Timer first with just a single JDBC call,
and it works fine if there is no loop. However, placing the call in a loop
makes it all goes wierd (doesn't keep throughput constant, seems
I keep getting the following random exception, when I just click on items
in the test plan on the left hand side.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
David

Hi,
Am just starting to use JMeter, and have a simple question about the Graph
Results and Graph Full Results Listeners.
- what do you have to do to get the Graph Full Results working?! It just
shows me the first two steps as text, and then nothing!
- is there any way to get the Graph Results l
