I am new to JMeter and I am having some difficulty testing a my demo site
using the Proxy to record a session. I have followed through the steps
outlined
in the documentation but I am not getting anything when I stop recording. I
don't know if this is because I have configured something incorrectly or
because the test page I have is an applet.

I have set by web browser proxy to port 8088 and in JMeter I set the Proxy
server
port to 8088.

In the Thread Group I created a Recording Controller, a View and a HTTP
Request.
Under the HTTP Request I entered my test server name, the port it is
listening on
(default 80 in this case) and set the protocol and path as 'http' and '/'.

Now I start the Proxy recording and go to my test page, which is an applet
with an image
to pan and zoom, execute a few operations and then stop recording. What
should I be
seeing?

Instead of trying to record a session should I try to create a script that
would send
the appropriate commands to the browser? How do I do that?

Thanks for any help, hints, etc that you might be able to provide.

Trevor
