currently, JMeter's monitor only works with Tomcat 5.0.19 and newer. To get 
it to work with websphere or weblogic, you have to port tomcat's status 
servlet to those application servers.

what that means is basically changing tomcat's status servlet to lookup the 
right JMX MBean in websphere and returning the statistics it maintains.
