We recently added an animate feature the Jmol Virtual Model Kit -
chemagic.com/vmk/. Basically, the feature simply facilitates the capturing of
molfile frames while editing a model in the VMK window. The resulting
multiframe molfile text can be pasted into the VMK Molecular Editor script
field and executed by clicking the run script link. Obviously, it can also be
loaded into any Jmol applet and run by the standard menu commands.

Tom Newton has put together a 185 frame example animation of the bromine
addition to (Z)-but-2-ene. This is a nice example of molecular kinetics that
you can express (literally act out) using Jmol's editing and frame capturing
capability. The VMK, of course, is simply facilitating these native
capabilities. The text file for this animation can be downloaded at:

http://chemagic.com/bromination.txt

Tom plans to put together a Web page menu of these animations. We welcome and
will credit any animation contributions.

Be forewarned. Tom is ahead of me on this. I still have considerable interface
work to do, but what exists now is usable.
