I was just working on adding a "toggle stereo" button to my web page driving
the Jmol 11.6RC10 applet (separate issue...possible?), when I noticed that
the status of stereo doesn't seem to propagate to a new pop-up applet
window. I've reproduced this on Bob Hanson's "new" page:

stereo [color1] [color2]
so, for example,
stereo red cyan
is the same as
stereo redcyan
and
stereo cyan red
is equivalent to
stereo redcyan -3
If only one color is used, then the second is assigned the complementary
color:
stereo red
stereo [xFF]

Fellow Visualization Software Users:
My #1 gripe with MacOS X Panther has been the lack of support for
industry-standard stereo-3D graphics (in a window). So far, I and others
have been unable to convince Apple that this feature matters enough to their
bottom line to merit implementation. Candid
