My interest in running Jmol locally is that I used to be able to imbed a Jmol
frame in a PowerPoint presentation using LiveWeb. I think it is a very elegant
way to have a molecule visualized and manipulated during a talk. I have done
several of these presentations at annual meetings of the Ameri

own server (or uploading to another server) to serve the files back to myself.

Item B is a subset of item D. I pulled it out as a separate item because
I wanted to try to find out if the desire to work locally (i.e. either
file:// or localhost) was driven by a need for specific user data files
on a given computer.

support that.
However, when I'm developing a Jmol web page, after each edit, it is
convenient to reload the page, displayed in a browser from local files,
to see the result (and debug). Currently,
