I'm still using Mac OS X 10.4, meaning no Java 1.6.
While apple computers tend to stay around longer (meaning you actually can
still use a system more than 6 years old),
I clearly see why you want to drop support. Actually even Apple has
anounced to drop support for 10.4 so
