[jQuery] SlideDown Issue.. help!

I am new to jQuery but am using it to SlideDown a DIV element when the a:link is clicked. However, no matter what link i click on the page, it slides down the div, it's as if the script has taken over every link on the page. Here is the code: http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.3.2/

[jQuery] Using JQuery effects in IE7??

I've created my site and it looks great in Firefox.. however in IE7 it just wont work, i'm not bothered about getting it working in anything less than IE7 2 effects i am using are fadeOut and slideDown are there any fixes to get these working in IE
