[jQuery] Fade in and then fade out element when using slideToggle

I have a div (#slide-panel) which is hidden by default (display:none)
but shows up when a button (.slide) is clicked.
Inside the div I have a h3 which also is hidden by default
(display:none) but fades in as the div slides out.

Here's the code:

$(".slide").click(function(){
        $("#slide-panel").slideToggle("medium");
        $("#slide-panel h3").fadeIn("slow");
        $(this).toggleClass(".slide-active"); return false;
});

Is it possible to make the h3 fade out as the user press the button
(.slide) and the div slides out? How?
